Biography

David Lawrence made his debut performance at Bally’s Atlantic City with the Legends in Concert show.

An accomplished guitarist and all around musician, Lawrence has been performing his tribute to Lionel Richie since as early as 1986. Appearances include state fairs, amusement parks such as Six Flags, the Carnival Cruise line, as well as concert halls in Pakistan, India, and the Dominican Republic. He also appeared with the “Thriller Look-a-Like Show Band tour from 1983-1987, sponsored by Pepsi and Colgate, performing at various United States and Canadian venues.

As a talented guitarist, Lawrence has performed with show bands in the Atlantic City, New York, and Philadelphia area. His musical performances also include noted television special events such as President Clinton’s Inaugural Ball, and Super Bowl 1999.

Lawrence has written and performed several jingles for professional sports teams and can be heard on such albums as “Closer than Close” by Jean Carn on Omni Records, and “I Got My Mind Made Up,” which produced the number one Billboard Dance Chart Hit on Salsoul Records.
