Nellie is an extremely versatile and accomplished singer, dancer who graduated Cum-Laude from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree. She proudly calls Las Vegas home after performing in Branson, MO for 3 years where she won the award for Newcomer of the Year and soloed on the Jubilee TV show.
Since her move to Vegas, Legends in Concert has kept her busy as a singer/dancer on the Vegas Strip and several national and international runs of the show. In between that you could catch her as a featured entertainer for Face Productions in downtown Vegas at the Fremont Street Experience or being the lead singer of the Whoa Nellie, Country Rock band. She also toured with the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Event for two seasons. Nellie could not be more excited to be pay tribute to Cyndi Lauper. The energy, versatility and fun factor of this pop star sits comfortably in Nellie’s wheelhouse. All the aspects of entertaining come into play for a performance like this.
This well rounded entertainer’s credits includes performing for the Department of Defense’s “MWR” tour in Korea plus Carnival Cruise Lines, The Villa Roma 5 star resort in New York, Discoveryland’s production of “Oklahoma” in which she portrayed the hilarious Ado Annie and the list just keeps on going. She headlined in the Bareback Show and worked for top producers such as Greg Thompson Production, NYLAS Productions, Tony Sacca and Tony n Tina’s Wedding where she was able to use her comedic acting skills in addition to music. Nellie was asked to play several characters including Katy Perry, Cher, Reba McIntire, Loretta Lynn, and Minnie Pearl in several production shows.
Variety and travel fill her life and she puts her heart and soul into each project. She says it is so rewarding to be dramatic, silly, glamorous, as well as herself all in a day’s work. Entertaining others and making people smile makes her happy and is not a choice for this fine and versatile entertainer. It’s an instinct.
Nellie is extremely grateful for her career and accomplishments thus far and says she knows her Mother (who passed away just days before her arrival in Las Vegas) had a hand in it all. “I know she is always sitting in the front row” says Nellie!
