Biography

Rick McEwen was born in Cullman, Alabama, and started performing as early as he can remember at Beulah Church of Christ in Cullman. He later moved to Nashville, TN, and toured with The Blackwood Singers, Vassar Clements, and Earl Scruggs, and The Dillards. He has toured The United States, Canada, Mexico, and England.

In 1984 Rick moved to Branson, Missouri, and started The Echo Hollow Show at Silver Dollar City, as well as helped produce over 120 live radio shows. He went on to perform for the Ozark Jubilee as a featured singer and bass player. He spent a year as the lead singer for the Ozark Mountain Boys, opening for many of his musical heroes such as Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Jerry Reed, Loretta Lynn, Dottie West, John Connelly, and many others.

For the next 14 ½ years he was featured singer and bass player for Jim Stafford, and as well as performer on the Ozark Mountain Opry. Rick helped produce and perform in many local projects including Imax Theatre, Mayberry Revisited, Country Tonight, Penny Gilley RFD TV Show, Marty Robbins Tribute and The Ozark Mountain Opry and Ozark Mountain Hoedown.

In 2020 McEwen started a Tribute to Kenny Rogers and My Great American Songbook Show.
