The celebrated body of music of Elvis Presley is alive and well today, flowing through Johnny Fortuno. Johnny’s contemporary approach, both vocally and physically, brings performances to his audience they wished they had witnessed so many years ago. His remarkable talent was recognized early on by legendary Hawaiian, Don Ho, who developed a position for Johnny in his self-titled show in Waikiki.
After six years of working with the Don, Johnny soon found himself scouted out by Legends. Joining the Las Vegas act as the youngest Elvis tribute artist to hit the Legends’ stage, Johnny joined the troupe at age 18. Now, Fortuno has traveled across the world with his spot-on act. Audiences in Japan, China, Korea, Mexico, and all across the United States have been consistently blown away by Johnny’s performances.
Aside from winning favor with crowds across the world, professional competitions have also given accolades to Johnny’s act. In 2011, Johnny was crowned the winner of the Ultimate Elvis Competition in Las, Vegas Nevada. He finished as a Top 10 finalist in his debut performance at the Ultimate Elvis Competition judged by the “Memphis Mafia” at the Cannery Casino. And from winning these awards, Johnny is regularly selected to headline annual Elvis tribute events, singing with the world famous “Stamps Quartet” and even Sherril Nielson, one of Elvis’ original backup singers. Bottom line, Johnny simply has the ability to sing every type of song. His voice is versatile, powerful and moving. He can reach any audience with his captivating performance, reminding us all of the glory of the King.
